Filmmaker and Drone Pilot
A director, cinematographer and drone pilot, Whit Hassett aspires to bring stewardship and action through film.
After spending much of her early adult life immersed in the Pacific, from Hawaii to New Zealand, she began her career as an ecologist, dedicating nearly a decade to work with domestic and international NGOs. Her award-winning short films, This Land and I Am Salmon, have been screened at major film festivals worldwide. Currently, she is involved in the largest dam removal and restoration project in the world. A water enthusiast, Whit is passionate about exploring the interconnectedness of humans and the species we share this planet with. She holds a BS in Environmental Science from the University of Hawaii and an MS from Washington State University.
